Oofuri Chapter 21

Oofuri Chapter 21

SUMMARY:

After the game, Hanai tells the team they must carry the equipment back to the car. Abe tells Mihashi that he should stay behind and not carry anything, as there is a possibility he might hurt his fingers. Tajima thinks Abe scaring Mihashi was what caused the precarious situation anyway, and that Abe is being too protective, to the point where even Mihashi must think so. Abe thinks Mihashi doesn't think like that, however as they leave we see Mihashi thinking to himself that simply carrying bags will not hurt him.

Abe's dad comes up to Mihashi to say hello. He asks what Mihashi thinks of Abe and if he finds him bossy. Abe's dad then wonders if older people make Mihashi nervous since he is not answering and makes some sort of comment about his timidity. He comments that despite this Mihashi must still argue with Abe all the time, but Mihashi still does not answer. After confirming that the boy he is talking to is really Mihashi, Abe's dad asks Mihashi if he finds Takaya scary. Mihashi does not answer out loud, but he thinks to himself that Abe is indeed frightening. Abe's dad gets a call from his younger son Shuu and leaves.

Naomasa, the former other candidate for pitcher, comes to tell Takeshi that a meeting is about to start, and they leave together as it is late. Kyo, the boy Takeshi was practicing with, thinks to himself that there seems to be some tension between the two.

As he washes up, Naomasa talks to Takeshi about how his legs do not seem to be holding up well. Still, Takeshi can get such skills with practice, and he think this is why they chose Takeshi over him. Naomasa says that he still hasn't given up on becoming catcher, but still gives Takeshi some advice, telling him not to be anxious or it will affect the whole team, and to have confidence in himself.

Takeshi thinks to himself that Naomasa is a good person. He has a flashback of Roka telling him [Takeshi] that if he plays the way Roka tells him to, then Roka will back his becoming catcher. Takeshi thinks to himself that the goodness of Naomasa is actually the reason that Takeshi was chosen instead. Takeshi resolves to himself that he must do what he is supposed to, as it is the reason he was made a regular. The meeting starts.

Mihashi's mom argues with her husband about coming to Mihashi's games. She says she has been to all of them, but his dad says Mihashi never let him come to games in middle school. Mihashi's mother doesn't remember and assumes it was because embarrassed (about something with Mihoshi, I can't understand it well, though I get the feeling she doesn't know the real reason exactly).

Mihashi gets home and his dad asks him about how the game turned out. His dad has brought home yaki manju, and Mihashi is distracted for the entire conversation trying to get his mom to cook them. He tries to get Mihashi to play catch, but Mihashi says he can't and his dad is surprised. He begins telling Mihashi that he has the day off the day after tomorrow when Mihashi's next game is, and Mihashi immediately volunteers that he can come to the game and meet Hama-chan. Mihashi's dad initially has trouble remembering who he is, but then does and reminisces.

Mihashi notes that getting hit in the game was scary, but no matter what he will throw as Abe says.

Abe and his dad discuss the latest game. Abe's dad asks how he feels about giving up 3 runs. Abe thinks there was no helping one, but that he underestimated the batter in one case. Abe's dad asks him if the pitcher agreed to throw the ball knowing it would be hit. Abe responds that he does not need to get Mihashi to agree to anything since Mihashi throws where Abe tells him.

Abe's dad is amused and slightly accusatory about this attitude Abe has revealed towards his pitcher. Abe insists it is not how is father is thinking, and that the reason they work like that is because Mihashi trusts him.

Thinking of Mihashi, Abe's dad decides to press further, asking if Abe gets along well with Mihashi, to which Abe replies that he does. Abe's dad asks if the they are friends, to which Abe becomes irritated and says there is no need for a catcher and pitcher to be friends. His dad tells him what he was really getting at was that if Abe truly thinks Mihashi and him are getting along well, then Abe must not know what a real friendship is like.

Abe says that his standards for “getting along well” are higher for other people, but low for Mihashi since when they first met they could barely speak. He insists he's trying to get along better, says that keeping up even a ten minute conversation is tough. Abe's dad suggest this is because Abe is the one Mihashi is talking to, and Abe gets angry, making his father angry as well. Abe is told to go to bed if he is done eating.

Abe thinks to himself that his dad hasn't met Mihashi and doesn't know what he's talking about. He reminds himself that he does have friends, as everyone on the team gets along well. Realizing they have never gone out together, he then concludes that really the people from middle school and the Seniors must be his friends, only to realize that the only time he's seen any of them since high school started was his run-in with Haruna. Abe decides that either way, it has nothing to do with Mihashi. Thinking about his fathers words again, he admits to himself that their relationship is weird, but he thinks he's doing his best.

A reporter visits the team as they practice. The reporter is interested in the fact that Momokan is a young, pretty (big breasted) woman. She notes the somewhat constricted practice conditions with the team having to share their outfield with other clubs, but seems to think they respect and take care of what they have well. The boys notice the reporter, and Hanai tells Hamada to not give anything away about their plans or strategies.

Abe and Mihashi go together to pick up their lunch boxes. Abe says they will take them to the cafeteria to eat. Mihashi thinks to himself if the cafeteria is open he wants to buy something, though he isn't sure it will be since it's summer. He considers asking Abe, but decides he will find out once they get there so he won't. Abe notes Mihashi seems to be thinking deeply about something and waits.

Abe tries asking Mihashi if he is dissatisfied with anything about him. Mihashi is extremely started and shakes his head vigorously. Abe asks if there is anything, perhaps with his pitch calling. Mihashi continues to shake his head. Abe looks satisfied and is happy to get an answer he expected. Mihashi worries to himself that he has exuded dissatisfaction in some way, and resolves to watch himself better.

Hanai's mom tells her girls that their brother is in the newspaper. In a frenzy, they all look. He is small and off to the side in a picture that is actually more of Momokan.

On the day of the game, Mihashi's dad reunites with Hamada, and they comment on how the other has changed. Everyone meets the Hanai daughters, and the other women who all only have sons discuss how they would like girls, though they think they are too old. Sakaeguchi's sister comes, and Abe's mom already knows her since the Sakaeguchi and Abe fathers were both in the PTA.

Momokan tells the team Takenouchi is up to bat first, just as the expected, and confirms they'll stick to the plan they discussed, and gives them a pep talk.

Kazusa feels nostalgic noting the unique feel of a prefecture game. He has skipped prep school to come, and wonders to himself if he is only here because he wants to see Nishiura loose.

[Please note that my grasp on the Japanese language is tenuous and my understanding of baseball even more so. These translations and summaries were made with hopes of being helpful to fans who would like to read on in the story and do not mind suffering the occasional ambiguity or error. Parts I am consciously unsure of have been marked with two question marks (??), sometimes with my best guess at what they might mean. Note that the absence of question marks does not make the translation correct. ^_^]

Title: Slow Changes
Hanai: Hello, this is Hanai?
Hanai: Ok. // Alright, I've got it.
Hanai: Hey!
Hanai: The car can't make it through here, so we're carrying the bags over to the parking lot!

104
Words on side: ?? (think it's just labeling their gear)
Saka: ?? (Something about the parking lot, maybe that it's packed....or what kind it is? It looks like “the pool parking lot” but that's rather random. ...maybe they have a different lot for car poolers? ^_^;)
Suya: (Is it far?)
Suya: (If it's on the other side that's a long way.)
Mihashi: To the...
Mihashi: Pool (??) // lot.
Bottom margin: 6 bat cases
Abe: Don't carry anything.
Tajima: Ah!
Abe: ....
Tajima: Hey.
Margin: ??
Abe: Are // Are you alright!?
Abe: (You're so twitchy!)
?: (Which one should I take?)

105
Abe: If you end up jamming even just one finger on your right hand, that's it for us.
Abe: Just stay here and watch the bags!
Tajima: Hey, hold on. // The bats were the only thing in trouble there!
Tajima: And you scaring him like that wasn't helping anything.
Abe: We bought the cheap ones, anyway. (??)
Tajima: Hey!
Tajima: I'm just saying your ideas are a little screwed up! // I bet you even Mihashi thinks so!
Abe: Alright, fine, I get it. // Though I seriously doubt he's even aware enough to think like that!
Mihashi: It's just bags.
Mihashi: I won't // get hurt.

106
AbeD: Hey there!
AbeD: Mihashi!
Mihashi” !?
AbeD: Nice to meet you! // I'm Abe's Dad!
AbeD: You were looking good out there again today!
AbeD: Nice pitching!
AbeD: So what are you doing out here all alone?
AbeD: Watching the luggage?
Mihashi: .... // Um.
Mihashi: I // um.
AbeD: So what do you think of Takaya? // He's a real bossy little brat, isn't he?
Mihashi: Ah. // Ha. // *gulp*
AbeD: Hm?
AbeD: Oh, do older people make you nervous?
Mihashi: ..... // .....
AbeD: Hey, don't just creep away like that!
AbeD: Don't be so timid! (?? some comment about being timid person/coward)

108
AbeD: After all, you're always arguing with Takaya, right?
AbeD: Hm?
AbeD: ....
AbeD: It's definitely Mihashi.
AbeD: Mihashi...
AbeD: Are you scared of Takaya?

109
Mihashi: Takaya... // ...must be Abe-kun?
Mihashi: He is scary.
AbeD: Yeah?

110
Shun: Dad? // It's Shun-chan. My practice test is over, so you need to come get me!
AbeD: Ah, ok. I'll be right there. // Where abouts are you?
AbeD: You got it.
AbeD: Bye, Mihashi-kun! // Good luck on your next game!
Mihashi: That person... // was Abe-kun's...
Mihashi: F- // Father...?

112
-Last one!

113
-Nice work!
Takeshi: Aaaaah~
-: Takeshi! // The meeting for the fifth match is starting now!
Takeshi: Wah!
Takeshi: It is!? // What time is it!?
Takeshi: Wah, crap!

114
-Kyo, you put away the protector and the balls. // You'll probably still make it in time to shower with the first yeas.
Kyo: Yes sir!
Take: Sorry about this!
Kyo: Don't worry about it!
Kyo: It's not like they're fighting, but...
Kyo: (??)
Kyo: When those two talk, // Something always feels tense...
-We already had a game today. Aren't you overdoing it?

115
-Your knees are a joke.
Take: Whoa.
Take: But... // It's something I'm always going to have to do, so... (??)
-I'm just not sure how I feel about you putting on the mask when your legs look like they're made of Jello.
Take: You have a point...
-Well, that kind of thing can be learned.
-That's why they chose you, I think.
-Here.
Take: .... // Th- // Thanks.
-?? (seems literally “I came now still like this to call you to the meeting!” ...but that seems rather non-sequitur, I'm probably missing the connection either forwards or backwards somewhere)

116
-Make the most of this chance you have now! (?? just something about a “chance” and doing something “properly” with it, don't know the verb)
-I still haven't given up on becoming catcher!
Take: ...Yeah, ok.
-But
-?? (I'm really unsure about these lines. My final of many probably just as incorrect guesses is he's basically saying 'just as Shuuhei helped me, i'm going to help you.' )
-If a catcher is anxious...
-Then the whole team is anxious.
-Have confidence in yourself!
Take: ....

117
Take: I understand.
Naomasa: Do your best out there.
Take: Yeah.
Take: Naomasa... // Is a really good guy.
Take: [Even though he's trying to compete with me, // He's still trying to help me out.]
Take: [But...]
Roka: As a catcher and batter, [] better than []. // More honest, too. (?? subject of the sentence not said, in that wonderful Japanese way, so I'm not sure if it's 'he's better than you' or 'you're better than him.' I mean, I think we're supposed to know who's truthfully better, but I'm not sure if Roka's being truthful here, so ^_^)
Roka: If you play the way I tell you...
Roka: I can back you myself?

118
Take: Because you were the better man... // Coach chose me instead.
Take: I've got to do it!
Nao: Sorry to interrupt!
Nao: I've brought Takeshi!
Take: It's the whole reason he let me be a regular!
Takii: Looks like we've got everyone!
Takii: Alright, let's get this started!

119
Takii: If we can beat Nishiura...
Takii: We'll be in the best 8!
Mom: That's not true!

120
Mom: I've been to every single game!
Dad: But...
Dad: Back in middle school, I asked him if I could come three times... // And every single time he told me not to!
Mom: He did!?
Dad: How can you have forgotten? It wasn't even that long ago!
Mom: He must have just been embarrassed at Mihoshi!
Mom: Since they didn't get to do much! (??)
Dad: You think that's it?

121
Mihashi: I'm home~
Dad: Oh!
Dad: Ren!
Dad: Welcome home!
Mihashi: D- // Dad!
Mihashi: I haven't // seen you for a while!
Mihashi: Huh?
Dad: I brought some yaki manju.
Mihashi: Eh?
Dad: So you won again today, Ren? // That's great!
Mihashi: Yaki manju!
Dad: How many good hits did they make off you?
Mihashi: 5!
Dad: Hey, that's great!

122
Dad: So how many runs did they make..? // One? Two? (?? actual word is “runs charged to the pitcher.” I'm too baseball stupid to know exactly what this means or how if it's at all different, if it is, from a normal run.)
Mihashi: 3!
Dad: Well... // That kind of thing happens. // And your opponents were strong, after all!
Mihashi: (Fry them, Mom!)
Mom: (I'm making dinner!)
Mom: (After that, ok?)
Mihashi: (But I want them noooow~)
Dad: So // Say!
Dad: Why don't we go out and practice a little? // We haven't played catch in ages!
Mihashi: I can't!
Dad: Eh?
Mihashi: I threw in the match today. // I can't do it anymore...

123
Dad: What?
Dad: You're always throwing all day long!
Mihashi: I
Mihashi: Can't do it now!
Mihashi: Because...
Miha: I...
Dad: What's with you?
Dad: You're kind of creeping me out.
Mom: Say, Ren.
Mom: Your next match is the day after tomorrow, right?
Miha: Yeah!
Dad: You know // I'm // actually
Dad: Free // On that day?
Miha: So you'll come to meet Hama-chan!?
Dad: Ha-
Dad: Hama-chan??

124
Dad: Wait.
Dad: Who?
Mom: I told you! // Our neighbors from Yamagishisou. The Hamadas!
Dad: Oh!
Dad: The boy he was in the same class with...
Mom: (Here, Ren, you can have one.)
Mom: Yes.
Dad: They sure were close!
Dad: I can still remember! // ?? (We moved in, and then he let Ren be the pitcher when he moved away...? OR when we moved away, he told Ren to be a pitcher?)
Dad: He gave you your glove, right?
Dad: (We couldn't have afforded one back then.)
Dad: ....So-
Dad: (You're leaving!?)
Mom: Wash your hands and put your clothes in with the laundry.
Mihashi: Ok!
Mihashi: 5 hits. // 3 Points.
Mihashi: That's...
Mihashi: ?? (literally seems to say “concentration hit”)
Mihashi: Getting hit is scary.
Mihashi: But // I can't just throw how I want.

125
Mihashi: Whatever Abe-kun says... // I'll listen to him!
Mom: If you make a face like that while you're eating it's not going to digest well.
Abe: Yeah. // It's really good.
Mom: Not even listening.
Abe: There's the third point.

126
Dad: So how do you feel about giving up those 3 runs?
Mom?: (It's 10 o'clock! Shun's game is over!)
Abe: There was no helping that long hit by #2.
Abe: I think it's reasonable to allow for one or two of those in every game.
Abe: I underestimated #3 when he batted in that run, though.
Abe: Kounan was already doing well there (??) // And I think we made some errors of our own, too.
Dad: Did the pitcher agree to throw that ball knowing it would be hit?
Abe: I don't need to get him to agree to anything.
Abe: He'll throw however I tell him to.

127
Dad: Are you serious?
Dad: What exactly do you think a pitcher is, anyway?
Abe: I didn't mean it like that!
Abe: Mihashi is...
Abe: ...Well, // He...
Abe: He trusts me....
Dad: “Trusts” him. He sure loves to use that word. (??he might be saying his..er, word choice is strong/exaggerated.)
Dad: Teasing him might be a little too mean.
Dad: [Still...]

128
Dad: Do you get along well with Mihashi?
Abe: Yeah. // We're good.
Dad: Are the two of you...
Dad: Friends?
Abe: What? // What's this all the sudden? // And why should I have to be friends with my pitcher?
Dad: That's not what I'm getting at. // I just mean that if you seriously think that you and Mihashi are getting along well right now,
Dad: Then I figure you must not know how it is friends actually relate to one another.

129
Abe: ...That's not it.
Abe: With people other than Mihashi, my standards for “getting along well” are higher.
Abe: It's just when we first met, I swear I couldn't even get a single word out of him.
Dad: I see~ So he wouldn't even talk to you?
Abe: Hey...
Abe: I'm really trying, alright?
Abe: Mihashi's just weird.
Abe: It's like trying to keep up even a ten minute conversation is some sort of excruciating torture!
Dad: Isn't that just because you're the one he's talking to?

130
Abe: You don't get it!
Dad: The dinner table is no place for an argument! // You're going to spill the soy sauce!
Mom: Dad! // Stop baiting him!
Mom: And Taka, if you're done eating then go to sleep!
Mom: At this rate you'll have trouble waking up!
Abe: ...Damnit.
Dad: (Honey~ My drink's all gone!)
arrow: (Brought up well.)

131
Abe: It's not like he's ever even met Mihashi.
Abe: Where's that old jerk get off thinking he can talk when he doesn't even know the first thing about it? // Ever since Shun's tournament's ended he won't shut up.
Abe: Though, // I'm glad for everything he's done for me.
Abe: Like the video today.
Abe: ....
Abe: And I do have friends.
Abe: Everyone on the team gets along great. // I guess we've never really gone out together, but...
Abe: We only just met three months ago.
Abe: I guess if I wanted to hang out, I'd go with friends from middle school or the Seniors...
Abe: ...Eh?
Abe: Have I heard anything from any of them since I started high school? // Or have they come over?

132
Abe: All I can remember is that time I ran into Haruna.
(Surprised himself)
Abe: Seriously...?
Abe: Well...
Abe: It's not like that has anything to do with Mihashi!
Disembodied Father Voice: I just mean...
Disembodied Father Voice: If you seriously think that you and Mihashi are getting along well right now...
Abe: ...I'm not stupid.
Abe: I'm fully aware that things are weird right now! // But...

133
Abe: But I really am doing the best I can!
Lady: An 8-0 against Saitama, called in the seventh inning. // And a 6-3 against Kounan.
Lady: Even the editors that thought the Tousei game was a fluke...
Lady: Can't stand up to this data!
Lady: The members // Are all first years.
Lady: And the coach is female!
Lady: I'll need to think of a title. (??)
Lady: A story like this has wide appeal! (??)

134
Momo: Hello?
Margin: (Getting a lost ball.)
Lady: H- // Hello!
Lady: Ah! // It's the coach!
Lady: [Seeing her up close, she's so young!]
Lady: [And so pretty and strong looking!]
Lady: [And her breasts are huge~!]
Shimizu: I'm Shimizu from Saikyou Sports! // And this is my camera man, Masaki!

135
Momo: I'm the coach, Momoe!
Momo: It's nice to meet you!
Masa: Woah.
Shimi: She seems so nice!
Shimi: I...only just glanced, but... // Your grounds...are a bit small, aren't they? // Do you not have enough for a full outfield?
Shimi: (Excuse me.)
Momo: (Come in.)
Momo: Yeah.
Shimi: And it looks like you also share the left field with the softball club?
Group: (Thank you very much!)
Momo: That's right.
Bottom: (The softball club see it as sharing their right field with the baseball club.)
Shimi: And it looks like you've got... // Rugby poles in center and right field?
Hama: (Last one, Izumi!)
Izumi: (Ok!)
Momo: That's right.

136
Shimi: So the infield is all you've got to yourself.
Momo: We've all got to make concessions.
Shimi: That's tough...
Shimi: [But the stuff on the bench is organized and it has a good aura about it.]
Shimi: [And the gear looks well cared for.]
Shimi: [Still...]
Hama: Last one, Nishihiro!
Shimi: Looks like the outfield is defense practice and the infield is bunting.
Shimi: Huh...

137
Shimi: [Everyone looks energetic and they seem like a good team. // But it's surprisingly ordinary.]
-(1 PM, right?)
-(The meeting.)
Shimi: ?? (a sentence that contains the words “yet” “somehow” “pushover” and “interesting.” Your guess is probably as good as mine, as things like grammar and particles are not helping ^_^)
Hama: ...Eh?
Hama: A reporter!?
-Saikyo Sports?
Tajima: Oh! // They mentioned that this morning!
Saka: It's a woman.
Mizu: Will she want to talk to us, too?
Suya: Dunno.
Hanai: Um.
Hanai: Hamada // san.
Hama: Yeah?
Hanai: About the reporter...
Hanai: Try not to give out too much information. // Remember to be polite.
Hama: Oh. // About tournament stuff?
Abe: Sakaeguchi. // We're going to get lunch.

138
Abe: ?? (something about during lunch break and tomorrow's meeting. Maybe they're supposed to get ready for it?) // Coach said to.
Saka: Sure thing!
Shimi: (From 5 till 9! That's an impressive practice load!)
Shimi: (And you haven't lost any members?)
Abe: You've got a bentou today, right?

139
Mihashi: Ah. // Yeah.
Abe: So we'll drop by the math room, // And then we can eat in the cafeteria.
Mihashi: The cafeteria.
Mihashi: If we // go there...
Mihashi: I'll // want to buy something.
Mihashi: Oh. // Right. // Even if we go inside // I couldn't // since it's // summer.
Mihashi: But // All the clubs in training camps
Mihashi: Eat in the cafeteria // Like Hara-kun // So maybe I still can.
Side: (Hara-kun...A 1st year in the basketball club.)
Mihashi: I wonder... // If Abe-kun knows?
Mihashi: Should I ask? // But I'll find out once we go. // So...I guess there's no point.
Abe: ....

140
Abe: He looks like he's thinking about something...
Abe: (I'll wait for him...)
Abe: He's taking so long with the lock.
Mihashi: Ok!
Abe: Come on.
Abe: Say. // Is there anything about me you're dissatisfied with?
Abe: With my pitch calling or anything?

141
Abe: Yeah, see?
Mihashi: ....
Abe: Good, then.
Mihashi: Have // I
Mihashi: Been // Acting dissatisfied? // How... // When...
Mihashi: I need to be careful...
Mihashi: If Abe-kun starts to hate me... // Everything will be over...!

142
Mom: Haruka! // Asuka!

143
Mom: Your brother is in the newspaper!
Both: What!?
-Where?
Mom: Look, here!
-No way!
Mom: Look!
Verticle words: Young Coach Showdow!
Momokan's pic: Coach Momoe Maria (23) watches over her players.

144
Both: Where?
[Here.]

145
[Attention spectators. // The stadium is a no smoking area.]
-?? // ??
-You're our special guests, after all.
-??
-??
(the whole convo is about...talking/answering questions or something I think.)
-We understand!
-Alright. // Looking forward to working with you!

146
Mdad: Ha-
Mdad: Hama-chan!?
Hama: Long time no see!
Mdad: You, // You've gotten so big!
Hama: Yeah!
Hama: And you look like a real adult now! // Your hair was longer before, right?
MMom: Eeeh!?
Mmom: You must be Haruka-chan...
Mmom: And Asuka-chan!?
Hmom: Girls?
Both: Hello!
All: They're // So // Cute~!
(Moms who only have boys.)

147
Mmom: Girls!
Mmom: And two of them!
Smom: Ah... // Maybe I should have tried to have more...
Amom?: I know!
Tmom?: I was too scared we'd get another boy to try again!
Hmom: You're all young yet! Why can't you have more?
All: (What? No way!)
Hmom: Tajima-san was 42 when she had Yuu-kun!
Amom: It's Sakaeguchi-kun's sister!
Amom: Sakaeguchi-san!
Amom: Thought so!
Amom: How are you? // So you came to cheer on your brother!
Ssis: Hey, it's been a while!

148
Amom: Our sons didn't know each other, // But both their fathers were on the PTA, so... // Right?
Ssis: Yep!
Amom: How is your dad?
-You're Suyama-san's husband!?
Ssis: He's great! // How's Abe-san?
(He's here today.)
Amom: Are you on a break from work?
Ssis: I quit this summer.
Mmom: How about your husband?
Hmom: He didn't come!
Hmom: He doesn't care about baseball at all!
Momo: As we thought, Takenouchi-kun is going to be their starting pitcher.

149
Momo: We'll proceed as we discussed yesterday.
Momo: The deciding factor in this game is going to be whether or not we can move fast enough to catch him! (??)
Momo: Let's start this off right!
Momo: It's another hot day, so take care of yourselves out there!
Momo: I will not accept any of you cramping up from dehydration!
-Nishiura High School, it's time to enter the field.

150
Momo: Alright, let's go!
Kazu: ...This feeling. // The prefecture games.
Kazu: .... // Skipping prep school and coming here...
Kazu: Do I... // Just want to see Nishiura loose?

It's fine if you want to use them like I said ,I guess. Just...haha, I already made at least one big error I didn't mark I can see now, so....be careful, haha.

I loved how we got to see them with their families! Mihashi at dinner time was just too cute~

Thank you so much again! <3

true love

Thanks so much for sharing the translation! <3333
I bought the bound copies of volumes 11+12 (very rare of me tehe), and really enjoyed reading the script while flipping through the book. I'm trying to get better at my own negligible Japanese reading ability, so it was actually both useful and fun. ^_^

I really love Abe and Mihashi's relationship, dysfunctional as it may be. Both seem just so insecure, but express it in such different ways--it's too adorable! And Abe's father's input seemed to add even more insecurities, somehow. Love learning more about his family too, and Mihashi's as well~

Thanks again!

Ouch, learning to read without furigana, hahah. Though I guess I'm kind of doing the same thing ^_^;(I have to look up like...I think more than half the kanji, hahaha. I actually still have the files with them all typed out so I could look them up later, if they're of any use to you, hehe.)

I knowww! I loved how when the series first started out it made it seem like it was just a story of Mihashi leraning to have confidence and Abe supporting him through it, but then it ACTUALLY started addressing the fact that the way Abe deals with him is so unhealthy, heheh. The way Abe craves and feeds of making Mihashi trust him is so cute and at the same time so bad, I love it. Abe's insecurities is like the name of this game, so hopefully you will have fun watching it. ^_^

stare~

Haha, usually I just take out the good ol' 'One Piece' if I'm in the mood to learn from manga, but I couldn't resist trying to learn with Oofuri when I had both the volume and lovely translation sitting right in front of me. ^_^
Wow though, I'm even more in awe of your translation, knowing that you had to look up those kanji. Thank you for your hard work! <3 (actually would like to see the files, if you really don't mind sharing?)

Annnnd, I see that you finished off volume 11!! Gosh, you are wonderful (eheh, I've become your fan, hope you don't mind ;p), will definitely have fun with chapter 22!

I suppose I can understand that. ...Considering I have so many other things I could read that are closer to my level and thus I'd probably learn more from, but I still keep reading this one, haha. (I admit I also like telling people that because of my reading habits I could probably more easily hold a conversation about baseball than I could one about what I did for dinner last night. ^_^)

Sure, I don't mind sharing them. I'd feel weird posting them up here, but I can send them to your email if you let me know what it is. Would you like to just have the chapters after this (since you're already done reading 20-23), or would you like those ones, too?

Thank you so much for the translations! You have no idea how happy it made me to find these! I was late for tuition because I was so caught up with reading. I can't express my gratitude enough. Thank you!
